Islands

Took a break from the endless work on my solo show to do a personal piece. I was inspired by two songs, both called "Islands," by The xx www.youtube.com/watch?v=PElhV8… and Young the Giant www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca7z8y… - equally excellent!

Painted in Adobe Photoshop, about 10-12 hours on a Wacom Cintiq. The general pose and movement of the hair were inspired by this great stock photo by AimeeStock.
